Cassie Allen ’06 also left the pool with some hardware, earning silver in the 100-yard breaststroke and bronze in the 200-yard medley. The team of Brooke Bennett ’06, Allen, Molly Bolek ’07 and Cali Celinski ’09 placed fourth in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

Steve Colasuonno ’06 and Andrew Winfield ’09 placed second in the 125- and 174-pound weight classes, respectively.

Howard moves on to the NCAA Division III Championships Mar. 4-5 at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, N.J.

McDaniel women’s basketball is set to defend its Centennial Championship, earning Feb. 18 a bid to the tournament with an 84-47 stomping of Washington. Kristy Costa ’06 dropped in 18 points, while Theresa Hess ’07 finished with 18 points and four rebounds.

Green Terror women’s basketball hosts Feb. 22 Gettysburg to start the Centennial Conference Championships.

McDaniel men’s basketball wrapped up Feb. 18 its season with a 94-89 victory over Washington. Will Talesnick ’06 contributed 31 points for the Green Terror. Josh McKay ’08 tallied 11 points and Mike Dipiero ’06 had 17 points and four assists.

The team’s seven Centennial wins are the most the squad’s had in conference since the 1997-1998 season.

Green Terror indoor track grabbed Feb. 11 six trophies at the Susquehanna Open in Selinsgrove, Pa. Victories for the McDaniel men’s team came from Broderick Maybank ’06 in the long jump and the 55-meter dash, Stuart Johnson ’06 in the 200-meter dash, Scott Koleszar ’07 in the 400-meter dash and Matt Rouse ’07 in the mile run.

The women’s team snagged one win in the 4x200-meter relay, with Kristin Duling ’09, Kacey Decker ’09, Rachel Goodwin ’06 and Blair Taylor ’07 running legs. Duling also earned second in the 400-meter dash. Kelly Gruber ’06 crossed second in the mile run and Sarah Costa ’09 finished third in the 800-meter run.

McDaniel indoor track heads Feb. 25-26 to the Centennial Conference Championships at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa.
