His Digital Shopping Assistant beat more than 130 others for a spot in the Greater Baltimore Technology Council’s “MoshPit 2006,” a business plan competition. Lee is one of 40 nominees learning how to build a team, hire advisors, and make important connections that can help him launch his business. He will compete for $30,000 in cash prizes, to be awarded April 27.
Lee, a psychology major, is one of several budding entrepreneurs taking classes in the Business Administration and Economics Department. Siblings David and Kayla Wiles create larger-than-life balloon sculptures, while junior Neal Stokes found a niche designing urban T-shirts.
