McDaniel men’s and women’s golf swept the team Centennial Championships April 29-30 at the Pilgrim’s Oak Golf Club in Peach Bottom, Pa. This is the fifth consecutive title for the women’s squad and the second in as many years for the men’s team. Steve Perrone ’06 (left) and Tom Michaels ’06 went one-two in the men’s individual competition, shooting 227 and 234, respectively. Christine Malkiewicz ’07 took second in the women’s individual matchup with a combined 183.
Green Terror softball punched its ticket to the Centennial Conference Championships splitting its April 30 games with Swarthmore. Emily Trainor ’08 went two-for-three with a home run in the opener, leading McDaniel to a 5-0 win. Nichol Moeller ’06 pitched the shut-out, allowing six hits. The Green Terror dropped the second game 3-5, wrapping the regular season at 21-19, 8-8 in conference.

Green Terror track traveled to the Shippensburg Invitational April 29, with the men’s team taking eleventh and the women’s squad finishing sixteenth. Broderick Maybank ’06 leaped to second place in the long jump, while Matt Rouse ’07 crossed the line third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Blair Taylor ’07 sprinted to seventh place in the 400-meter dash, and Kristy Costa ’06 placed third in the javelin.

Green Terror baseball closed its season strong April 29 with a split against Ursinus. The team lost the opener 0-3, but came back in the late game 7-1. Shawn Yohe ’09 pitched a complete game in the nightcap, allowing eight hits and one unearned run. Justin Bilohlavek ’06 went two-for-four with three runs batted in and two runs scored. Drew Mitchell ’06 was three-for-five with one run batted in. McDaniel baseball finished its season at 9-23, 4-14 in conference.
Green Terror men’s lacrosse wrapped up spring with a 12-8 win over Muhlenberg April 29. Jared Nutter ’07 rattled in six goals and Kolyn Kirby ’08 (left) recorded one goal and four assists. Ben Yingling ’07 racked up 20 saves in goal. The team wrapped at an even 7-7, 4-4 in conference.
Women’s lacrosse closed out spring with a victory over Muhlenberg April 22. Caitlin Schellhorn ’06 recorded four goals, while Sarah White ’08 turned away nine shots in goal. The team finished at 7-8, 5-4 in conference.
Men’s tennis lost its final match this spring April 26 versus Gettysburg 0-7. The team rests at 5-12, 0-8 in conference, with victories against St. Mary’s, Gallaudet, Villa Julie, Randolph-Macon and Guilford.
McDaniel women’s tennis dropped its last match this season April 24 against Franklin & Marshall 0-9. The team wrapped up at 5-12, 1-9 in conference, with wins versus Centennial foe Ursinus, the College of Notre Dame, York, Randolph-Macon and Villa Julie.
