In commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, students created an American flag memorial at Memorial Plaza consisting of 2,977 flags – one for each person killed that day.

The flag memorial is one of more than 130 created by students on campuses nationwide, as part of the Never Forget Project by the conservative organization Young America’s Foundation.

The College also opened (Little) Baker Chapel for students, faculty, staff and community-members to reflect on the anniversary and to honor the victims and heroes of that day.
