The Green Terror has not allowed a goal during its three-game winning streak.

McDaniel returns to action Sept. 13 at 3 p.m. at Messiah College.

In non-conference women’s soccer action Sept. 10, Frostburg College’s Christine Fitzgerald netted a goal in each half to lead that college to a 2-1 victory over McDaniel.

Leanne Hollinger ’10 staked the Green Terror (1-1) to a 1-0 advantage midway though the first half before the Bobcats (1-2) came back for their first win of the season.

The Green Terror returns to action at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at Widener University.

In non-conference field hockey, Lynchburg College’s Arianna Kleeman scored the lone goal that led to a 1-0 victory over McDaniel. Lynchburg shot the ball six more times, but McDaniel’s Ericka Wawzyanick ’09 was able to keep them out.

McDaniel field hockey returns to action at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at York College.

Matt Rouse ’07 completed the men’s cross country course of 8,000 meters Sept. 9 in a time of 28:34.72 to put him in fourth place overall, helping McDaniel to a second-place finish at the Green Terror Challenge. The Green Terror men finished with 72 points while Gettysburg College claimed the title with 37 points.

The McDaniel women finished with 88 points, putting them in second place. Kelly Gruber ’06 led all Green Terror women with a time of 21:48.51 – a fifth-place showing overall. Gettysburg took the team crown with 20 points, placing three runners in the top five.

At the Washington and Lee University Invitational in non-conference volleyball action Sept. 9 and 10, Taylor Herrgott ’10 recorded no fewer than 39 kills in four matches to lead McDaniel to a 3-1 record.

In Green Terror football, Antwarn Jones ’10 recorded his third consecutive 100-yard rushing game Sept. 9 to lead Seton Hill to a 17-7 victory at McDaniel. Jones rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown for the Griffins (1-2), who outgained the Green Terror (0-2) 129-27 on the ground.

Brad Baer ’06 completed 18 of 30 passes for 190 yards, including McDaniel’s first touchdown of the season, to eclipse 2,000 passing yards in his career.

The Green Terror returns to action at 1 p.m. Sept. 16 at Catholic University.
