In the Centennial Conference volleyball opener, Taylor Herrgott ’10 recorded 15 kills and nine total blocks to lead McDaniel to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Swarthmore. The Green Terror returns to action at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 at home against Washington College.

In women’s golf Sept. 23-24, Christine Malkiewicz ’07 broke 100 both days, including shooting a 92 on Sunday, to lead McDaniel to a 14th-place finish at the Mount Holyoke Invitational. The Green Terror combined to shoot an 817, including a 394 on Sunday. McDaniel wraps up the fall schedule Sept.30-Oct. 1 at the Bucknell Bison Invitational.

In the Centennial Conference field hockey opener Sept. 23, Brooke Dixon ’09 scored both goals to win the game 2-0, putting McDaniel over Muhlenberg College. McDaniel returns to action at 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at home against Washington College.

In Centennial Conference women’s soccer Sept. 23, Jamie Janowich ’07 scored early for McDaniel to give the squad a 1-0 win over Bryn Mawr College. McDaniel returns in action at 4 p.m. Sept 26 at home against Dickinson College.

At the York (Pa.) Cross-Country Invitational Sept. 23, Matt Rouse ’07 finished second overall to lead McDaniel to a second-place finish. The Green Terror men placed second out of the six competing teams with 56 points while the women were fourth of eight teams with 89 points.

Kelly Gruber ’06 paced McDaniel with a fifth-place showing overall, covering the 5K course in a time of 20:38.

In Centennial Conference men’s soccer Sept. 23, 23rd-ranked Johns Hopkins scored a goal in the tenth minute to lead them to a 1-0 win over McDaniel. Christian Maisel ’08 made 10 saves in goal for the Green Terror (3-4, 0-2 CC), who were shut out for the third straight contest.

The Green Terror returns to action at 4 p.m. Sept. 27 at Dickinson College.
