- Two members of the McDaniel College women’s soccer team have been named Nov. 5 to the 2006 All-Centennial Conference (CC) team. Michelle Mullen ’07 was named to the first team while Sarah Wallace ’08 earned a spot on the second team.
Two members of the McDaniel College women’s soccer team have been named Nov. 5 to the 2006 All-Centennial Conference (CC) team. Michelle Mullen ’07 was named to the first team while Sarah Wallace ’08 earned a spot on the second team.
Men’s soccer player Scott Morrow ’07 has been named to the 2006 (CC) team. The Green Terror finished the soccer season 9-9 overall and 4-5 in CC play.
Drew Abbamonte ’07 has been named the (CC) Football Defensive Co-Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 4. This is the second time this season he has earned the honor. Abbamonte, a defensive back, led the Green Terror defense in the squad’s 22-19 win Nov. 4 over Muhlenberg, recording a game-high 18 tackles. Brad Baer ’07 completed 18 of 28 passes for 194 yards, including a pair of touchdowns. The Green Terror, who will look to record its 500th all-time victory and avoid its first losing season since 1996, wraps up the 2006 season at 1 p.m. Nov. 11 at Johns Hopkins.
In the wrestling season opener, Steve Colasuonno ’06 went 2-0 to win the 125-pound weight class and lead McDaniel to a sixth-place showing Nov. 4 at the Messiah Invitational. The Green Terror finished with 47.5 points in its first action of the season. McDaniel returns to action at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 11 when it hosts the Green Terror Duals.
In other action, McDaniel lost to Franklin & Marshall in volleyball, to Johns Hopkins in field hockey, and to Swarthmore in men’s and women’s swimming. McDaniel swimming returns to action at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Gettysburg.
