In Centennial Conference (CC) men¹s basketball Dec. 2, McDaniel beat Ursinus 76-75 in overtime. The game featured 18 ties and 11 lead changes. The Green Terror returns to action at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at home against No. 23 Johns Hopkins, with first place in the CC on the line.

In CC women¹s basketball Nov. 29, Heather Thompson ¹07 recorded her second double-double of the year with 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead McDaniel to a 56-43 victory over Dickinson. McDaniel returns to action at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at home against Johns Hopkins.

The McDaniel men¹s swimming team earned seventh place Dec. 2-3 in the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. Stephen Gomez¹s ¹10 second- and third-place finish led the team to complete the nine-team event with 224 points. Rowan took the title with 833 points.

McDaniel women placed ninth in the 11-team field with 101 points. Swimmers return to action at 1 p.m. Jan. 13 at home against Dickinson.

At the Navy Classic wrestling match Dec. 2, Ryan Deiter ¹09 finished sixth in the heavyweight bracket to lead McDaniel to a 12th place finish. The Green Terror finished with 15.5 points. The host midshipmen won the 13-team tournament with 148.5 points. McDaniel returns to action at 9 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Ohio Northern Invitational.

Michelle Mullen ¹07, a member of the McDaniel College women¹s soccer team, has been named to the 2006 NSCAA/Adidas All-Mid-Atlantic team. She recorded 143 saves on the season, leading the conference with an 8.94 save-per-game average. She also notched a 1.37 goals-against average and an .867 save percentage ¬ a total which ranked second in the CC ¬ in nearly 1450 minutes in goal.

Scott Morrow ¹07, a member of the McDaniel College men¹s soccer team, and Sarah Wallace ¹08, a member of the women¹s soccer team, have been named to the their respective All-Mid-Atlantic Region teams by d3kicks.com. Morrow, a defender, earned was named to the first team after contributing two assists while anchoring a defense that recorded a 1.31 goals-against average. Wallace, a midfielder, was named to the third team after leading the team with 10 goals.
