Student athletes shine on court and in classroom

- The Green Terror women’s basketball team scored a successful year, clinching the regular season championship and going on for the first time to host the Centennial Conference women’s basketball championship tournament, where they lost to Ursinus in the semifinals. Basketball players named to All-Centennial Conference teams

- Two members of the McDaniel College women’s basketball team and one from the men’s team have been named to the 2007 All-Centennial Conference (CC) teams. Katy Powell ’07 earned a first-team nod, while Heather Thompson ’07 was selected for the second team. Powell also became first Green Terror player in the 14-year history of the conference to be named CC Player of the Year. Ryan Brandenburg ’09 has been named to the 2007 All-Centennial Conference men's basketball team. » Full Story
Million-plus bequest creates professorship in sciences

- John Desmond Kopp, whose chemistry education at McDaniel College led to a successful professional career, will have his name memorialized on campus in recognition by College trustees for his testamentary gift of $1.25 million. Trustees unanimously voted Feb. 24 to name a professorship in the sciences in Kopp’s honor. » Full Story
