The McDaniel College Department of Art and Art History presents “This Land is Your Land[fill]: Artwork by Nadya Volicer,” Sept. 4-28 in the Esther Prangley Rice Gallery on campus in Peterson Hall. The artist’s reception will be held 7-9 p.m. Sept. 4 in the Rice Gallery. The exhibit and the artist’s reception are free and open to the public. The McDaniel College Department of Foreign Languages presents the French film “Fauteuils d’orchestre/Avenue Montaigne,” at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6 in Decker Auditorium. The film, which tells the story of a woman who arrives in Paris and works as a waitress in a bar, is free and open to the public. For more information, call 410-857-2294.

McDaniel College’s Hoover Library will host the first in its reading and discussion series “Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature – Identity and Imagination,” at 7 p.m. on Sept. 11 at Hoover Library. The event, free and open to the public, will explore “A Contract with God” by Will Eisner.
