Cognitive Psychology

The Department of Psychology at McDaniel College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in cognitive psychology beginning fall 2009. Candidates should be prepared to teach introductory psychology, cognitive psychology (with lab), psychological methods and statistics, senior capstone seminars, and upper level courses in their area of specialty. This individual will be expected to teach three courses per semester and to engage students in research.

Applicants must be willing to participate in the College’s First Year Seminar and other general education programs. Ph.D. in psychology is preferred but ABD doctoral candidates are encouraged to apply. School Library Media Program

The School Library Media Program in Graduate and Professional Studies at McDaniel College invites applications for adjunct instructors for the 2009 spring semester for two courses:

  • SLM 566: Special Topics: School Library Action Research
  • SLM 502: Organization and Access in the School Library

Assistant Professor of Invertebrate Zoology

McDaniel College invites applications for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in Invertebrate Zoology, with marine emphasis, to begin Fall 2009. Responsibilities include courses in Invertebrate Zoology, Marine Biology and other courses in the applicant’s area of expertise, as well as participation in introductory courses and senior research projects.  Expertise in organismal biology, an interest in field research with undergraduates, and allied expertise in associated fields, perhaps Animal Physiology or Oceanography, will enhance the application. Applicants must be willing to participate in the College’s First Year Seminar and other general education programs.  PhD strongly preferred; ABD required.
