Chamber Music on the Hill, in residence at McDaniel College, presents “Music in the Forum” with The Westminster Trio at 3 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Forum in Decker College Center.

A mainstay of Chamber Music on the Hill’s concert series, The Westminster Trio has, over the past 17 years, performed extensively in
Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  The Trio is comprised of Music faculty member David Kreider, along with Baltimore Symphony members Melissa Zaraya and Esther Mellon.

Violist Renate Falkner from the New Haven Symphony will join the Trio in a performance of the “Quartet in g minor” by Johannes Brahms. The program will also include the “Piano Trio, op. 120 in d minor” by Gabriel Fauré.

"The unique thing about this program, apart from two really wonderful compositions, is that we are using the renovated forum for the first
time as a site for a classical music concert,” said Kreider. “It should be a delightful venue."

The McDaniel College Forum, which reopened last spring, features a built-in screen and projector, cable access, and wireless Internet
capabilities. Tile floors and recessed lighting complete the facelift.
