Students sipped organic wine and savored organic ice cream as part of Earth day celebrations April 22. They also had the opportunity to plant flowers, calculate their carbon footprint and tie-dye clothing.

“I don’t think you could crush me in this bad boy if you tried,” said Ellen Larsen ’10.

“I love chocolate,” Dan Leader ’09 said of tasting organic chocolate fudge ice cream. “It makes you feel better that it’s organic. I’m all about being environmentally friendly.”

Students calculated their carbon footprint in Ensor Lounge. “It is important to see how the College is taking steps to lessen its environmental impact,” says Laura Fralinger ’08. “We want people to change their habits for the better.”
