An interdisciplinary program, the women's studies minor allows students to examine the contributions, experiences, and behavior of women from the perspective of several different disciplines. A two-semester course, Women in Western Culture, is a study of the status and roles of women in the Western world. Other offerings include such courses as Major Figures and Groups (English), Roman Women, Gender and Society in America, Liberation Movements and Human Freedom, The Family, and Special Topics in Sociology.
