A Palmyra, Pa., native, Seibert enters his 28th season at the helm of the Green Terror baseball program.
In 1984, Seibert coached the Green Terror to the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship. In 1989, his squad won the Southwest League championship.
In 1995, the team set a program record for wins in a season (19), resulting in Seibert being named Maryland’s College Coach of the Year by the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches.
Seibert is also a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association’s “Century Club,” amassing more than 300 career wins.
Seibert’s coaching experience extends beyond the baseball diamond. For 14 seasons, he served as the defensive coordinator of the Green Terror football team. The veteran coach then oversaw the squad’s quarterbacks for four seasons, coaching two of the Centennial Conference’s best signal-callers – Brian Van Deusen and Ron Sermarini.
Seibert is a senior coach lecturer in the Exercise Science and Physical Education department, teaching the popular course, “America’s Game: Baseball,” which is offered as a first-year seminar.
Away from the College, Seibert is the director of the Central Pennsylvania Rotary International District 7390 Youth Leadership Conference.
The 1978 Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) graduate received his bachelor’s degree in physical education and earned his masters degree in educational administration in 1981. As an undergraduate, Seibert played on both the football and baseball teams.
