Graves named CC Pitcher of the Week
LANCASTER, Pa. – Ryan Graves (Cordova, Md./St. Michaels), a senior on the McDaniel baseball team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Mar. 22. Graves led the Green Terror (7-4) on the mound during a 5-3 spring break trip to Florida, recording an earned-run average of 0.79 in 11 1/3 innings of work. He threw a complete game in McDaniel’s 5-1 victory over UMass-Boston, striking out five on Thursday. He finished the week with six strikeouts and an opponents’ batting average of .280.
For the season, the south paw is 2-0 with a 0.63 ERA in 14 1/3 innings. He has eight strikeouts in three appearances.
The Green Terror opens the conference schedule at home against Dickinson on Tuesday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
