McDaniel men place eighth, women 10th in conference meet
LANCASTER, Pa. – Sean Allen (Westminster, Md./Walkersville) finished 44 th on the men’s side while Jessica Dittman (Hampstead, MD/North Carroll) finished 60 th for the women in the Centennial Conference cross country championships on Saturday. The Green Terror men finished eighth with 221 points. Haverford won the meet for the 15th consecutive season, tallying 21 points. Dickinson was second with 55.
On the women’s side, McDaniel was 10th with 293 points. Dickinson took home its eighth straight crown with 33 points. Haverford was second with 52.
Allen completed the men’s 8K race in a time of 28:27. Cody Crutchley (Frederick, MD/Gov. Thomas Johnson) followed his teammate across the line in 45th place, just one second later.
C.J. Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll) placed 48th with a time of 28:31 while Tim Eggars (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) and Tim Snyder (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) rounded out the Green Terror top five in 66th (29:26) and 72nd (29:40) places, respectively.
Dittman finished the women’s 6K course in a time of 25:37.
Emily Peoples (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) placed 79th in a time of 26:29 while Erika Clark (Suitland, Md./Winters Mill) crossed 82nd (26:45).
Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) and Christie Walker (Frederick, Md./Urbana) rounded out the women’s top five, placing 87th (27:08) and 95th (27:50), respectively.
McDaniel returns to action at the NCAA Mideast Regionals at Lehigh on Nov. 10. The women's race begins at 11 a.m. with the men's race to follow at 12 p.m.
