McDaniel finish season at NCAA Mideast Regional meet
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Sean Allen (Westminster, Md./Walkersville) finished 74 th in a field of 282 runners to lead the McDaniel men’s cross country team to a 21 st-place finish at the 2007 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional meet on Saturday. The Green Terror men finished with 668 points. Haverford won the 41-team race with 45 points, placing three runners in the top six.
On the women’s side, McDaniel placed 31st overall, tallying 763 points in the 37-team race. Dickinson made it a Centennial Conference sweep, winning with 53 points and placing two in the top eight.
Allen finished the 8,000-meter course in 26:45. Cody Crutchley (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) and C.J. Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll) were 130th (27:44) and 132nd (27:45), respectively.
Tim Eggars (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) and Tim Snyder (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) rounded out the scorers for McDaniel, crossing 162nd (28:11) and 170th (28:21), respectively.
For the women, Jessica Dittman (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) was the first to finish the 6,000-meter course, crossing 90th overall with a time of 24:04.
Erika Clark (Suitland, Md./Central) finished 124th overall, finishing with a time of 24:44.
Emily Peoples (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) and Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) were 153rd (25:12) and 173rd (25:44), respectively.
