Miranda enters her second season at the helm of the Green Terror field hockey program. In her debut campaign, she led the squad to a 10-9 record and Centennial Conference semifinal appearance.

While earning her master’s degree at James Madison University, she served the previous two seasons as an assistant with the Eastern Mennonite field hockey team. While working with the Royals, the squads registered a combined 15 wins, including 10 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

Prior to her time at EMU, she was at Washington and Lee from 2002-04, serving as an assistant with field hockey and women’s lacrosse teams and was integral in the success of those two programs.

While on the sidelines with the women’s lacrosse team in 2003 and 2004, the Generals went a combined 30-7, winning the ODAC tournament both years and advancing to the NCAA Division III regional semifinals. The squad posted a perfect 8-0 mark in ODAC play in 2003 before finishing 7-1 during the 2004 campaign.

On the field hockey sideline, the 2002 and 2003 squads posted identical 10-9 marks, including going 6-3 in the ODAC and advancing to the conference semifinals.

The recipient of the NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women’s Enhancement Grant in 2002, she also worked as an athletic administrative intern during her two years at Washington and Lee.

In addition to her time with the Generals and Royals, Miranda has served as a coach with the United States Field Hockey Futures Program since 2002 in addition to working numerous camps and at the U.S. Field Hockey National Hockey Festival in 2002 and 2004.

In addition to earning a bachelor of science in physical education from Longwood in 1999, she earned her master of science degree in athletic administration and coaching from James Madison this past May.

A 2005 graduate of McDaniel, Ramey begins her second season on the sidelines.

The recepient of McDaniel's Women's Athletic Alumnae Award for the most outstanding senior athlete, she was a four-year member of the Green Terror field hockey and women's lacrosse teams.

Twice named to the Centennial Conference first team in lacrosse, Ramey also earned third-team All-America honors from insidelacrosse.com following her senior campaign. She led the squad in goals (40), assists (13), points (53) and caused turnovers (25). An all-region selection after her junior season, Ramey was the team's MVP after pacing the team in ground balls (64) and caused turnovers (30).

During her four years, she amassed 73 goals and 26 assists for 99 points to rank among the all-time leaders in each category. Her 139 career ground balls ranks second all-time while her 76 draw controls is third and her 71 caused turnovers ranks fourth.

On the field hockey squad, she earned the team's most improved player award in 2003. During her four years, she totaled 11 goals and four assists for 26 points.

After graduating with a degree in exercise science and physical education, Ramey spent the last year as a lacrosse coach and physical education teacher at Bedford High School in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom.
