McDaniel competes at Susquehanna Open
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Rachel McCallum (Brunswick, Md./Brunswick) finished third in the 55 meters to lead the McDaniel women’s indoor track and field team at the Susquehanna Open on Saturday. After finishing fourth in the preliminaries with a time of 7.56 seconds, McCallum improved six one-hundredths of a second to improve a place finish in the finals.
McCallum also added a fourth-place showing in the 200 with a time of 26.95.
On the men’s side, Jason Maier (New Milford, N.J./New Milford) led the way with a sixth-place finish in the shot put, hurling a distance of 14.38 meters.
Jarrett Smith (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) added the Green Terror’s only other top-10 showing, clearing 1.83 meters to finish ninth in the high jump.
The men’s distance medley relay also crossed fifth with a time of 11:06.00.
The Green Terror returns to action at the DuCharme Invitational at Dickinson on Saturday.
