Prior named to All-Centennial Conference men’s basketball team
LANCASTER, Pa. – Chris Prior (Westminster, Md./Westmisnter), a senior on the McDaniel men’s basketball team, has been named to the 2008 All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Thursday. Prior, a forward, earned second-team honors after leading the team in rebounding (9.8 rpg) and ranking second in scoring (11.0 ppg).
He also added 35 steals, 31 assists and nine blocked shots. He shot 41.4 percent from the floor and 64.1 percent from the stripe, converting a team-high 93 charity tosses. His 96 field goals ranked second.
Prior became the first player to earn first- or second-team All-CC honors since Will Marshall was named to the first team in 1998.
The Green Terror finished the season 15-11 overall and 10-8 in CC play, earning the program’s first postseason berth since 1995. McDaniel lost to Dickinson 89-80 in the first round of the CC tournament on Wednesday.
