McDaniel “B” team finishes fifth at Susquehanna Invitational
DRUMS, Pa. – Alex Campbell (Howell, N.J./Wall) and Taylor Massie (Southington, Conn./St. Paul Catholic) each shot rounds of 77 to finish in a tie for 11th place overall and lead McDaniel to a fifth-place finish at the Susquehanna Invitational in men’s golf action on Friday.
The Green Terror’s “B” squad combined to post a score of 317 while the “A” team took the weekend off in preparation for next weekend’s trip to Rochester, N.Y., and the Nazareth/St. John Fisher Shootout. Susquehanna won the event with a score of 298.
Steve Meier (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum School) finished in a tie for 20th place, carding a 79.
Matthew Dennis (Bay Shore, N.Y./Islip) and Chris Merrill (Kingsville, Md./Fallston) rounded out the McDaniel competitors with matching scores of 84.
The Green Terror “B” team will be back in action in the second round of the Marine Corps Series at the United States Naval Academy on Oct. 6 while the “A” team heads north for the two-day shootout on Oct. 7 and 8.
