McDaniel snaps six-game skid with 18-2 win at Hood
FREDERICK, Md. – Gibbs Preston (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) recorded four goals and added an assist to lead McDaniel to an 18-2 win over Hood in non-conference men’s lacrosse action on Wednesday.
Jason Anderson and Blake Rust accounted for the two goals for the Blazers (0-17), who were outshot 42-30 by the Green Terror (5-9) in the game.
Daniel Bryden (Ellicott City, Md./Wilde Lake) won 11 of the 12 faceoffs he took while Matt Buschman (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) added three goals and an assist to the offense.
McDaniel opened the game on a 6-0 run with goals by six different players. Tim Sieger (Levittown, Pa./Cornwall-Egan Catholic) keyed the run with three assists.

Goals from Buschman and Mike Hatton (Corning, N.Y./Corning East) pushed the lead to 8-1 at the intermission before the Green Terror reeled off seven unanswered in the third quarter.
A Chris Edmonds (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) marker 4:10 into the fourth quarter made it a 16-1 game before Rust was credited with the Blazer’s second goal with 7:46 to play.
Sam Hoffmann recorded 11 saves for Hood while Kenny McHugh (Westminster, Md./Calvert Hall) made eight in the first 36 minutes of the game.
McDaniel rror concludes the season at home against Dickinson on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
