Muhlenberg downs McDaniel, 7-2
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Wayne Mitchel went 2-0 to lead Muhlenberg to a 7-2 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men’s tennis action on Saturday. Mitchel teamed with Matt Kral to win third doubles 8-2, staking the Mules (3-3, 1-2 CC) to a 2-1 lead after doubles. Mitchel added a 6-0, 6-1 victory at fifth singles.
Ben Faber (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) led the Green Terror (3-4, 0-2 CC) with two wins. Faber partnered with Dan Hovorka (Storrs, Conn./E.O. Smith) for an 8-6 win at first doubles before Faber took his second singles match, 6-0, 6-2.
McDaniel returns to action at York (Pa.) on Monday. Match time is 3 p.m.
