Box Scores - Game One | Game Two

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Emily Trainor (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) recorded four hits, two RBIs and a run scored to lead McDaniel to a doubleheader sweep of Muhlenberg in Centennial Conference (CC) softball action on Saturday.
The Green Terror (10-20, 5-9 CC) took the opener 4-1 before completing its first conference sweep of the season with a 7-6 win in game two.
RiRi Ferrigno led the Mules (6-26, 2-10 CC) with five hits, including a 4-for-4 day in the nightcap.
Trailing 1-0 in game one after a Ferrigno double and Jenna Van Walllwigk RBI single in the bottom of the second, Diana Rosemier (Damascus, Md./Damascus) blasted a two-out double double in the top of the third to plate Kristina Skinner (Westminster, Md./Westminster), who reached on a single one batter earlier, before Rosemier scored on the first of six Muhlenberg miscues in the twinbill.
After Rosemier was hit by a pitch with two outs in the fifth and stole second, a Trainor double pushed the lead to 3-1.
A Brittang King (Baltimore, Md./Mt. Carmel) single followed by a Lauren Toomey (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) RBI single in the sixth set the final margin.
Trailing 6-3, Trainor led off the visitor fifth with a double before scoring on a King triple to pull McDaniel within 6-4.
Lauren Wildasin (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) led off the sixth with a single before a walk and fielder’s choice coupled with an error pulled the Green Terror within 6-5.
A Trainor RBI double and Karyn Curley (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) run-producing single gave the visitors the victory.
An error and Toomey double led to two unearned runs in the top of the first of game two before the Mules strung together six consecutive one-out singles in the bottom of the inning to take a 3-2 lead.
After the teams exchanged unearned runs in the second, Muhlenberg took advantage of three McDaniel miscues in the third to take a 6-3 lead.
McDaniel returns to action at Columbia Union on Tuesday. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 6 p.m.
