Dickinson downs McDaniel

CARLISLE, Pa. – Elizabeth Schroll recorded a three-win day to lead Dickinson to a 127-37 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women’s swimming action on Saturday.
The Red Devil women (5-1, 3-0 CC) won all 11 events to hand the Green Terror (1-5, 1-3 CC) its most lopsided loss of the season.
The Dickinson men (4-1, 2-0 CC), behind a three-win day from Andy Wade, also downed McDaniel (1-5, 1-3 CC), 135-45.
Stephen Gomez (Charlottesville, Va./Albermmarle) had the Green Terror’s only two wins of the day, touching first in back-to-back events. He won the 200 IM in a time of 2:06.66 before coming back to win the 100 butterfly (55.16).
Wade recorded individual wins the 200 free (1:51.48) and 500 free (5:06.89) before leading off the Red Devils’ 200 free relay victory (1:32.55).
Nate Supp and Eric Peterson each recorded two-win days for Dickinson.
Schroll’s opened her triple-victory day as the anchor in the 200 medley relay, which combined to swim a time of 1:59.46. She added individual wins in the 200 free (1:58.26) and 500 free (5:19.16).
Sarah Boyd and Rachel Wolfe each won twice for the Red Devils.
McDaniel returns to action at Susquehanna on Saturday. Meet time is 1 p.m.
