McDaniel sweeps Ursinus to remain unbeaten in conference play
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Deanne Lehr (New Oxford, Pa./Bermudian Springs) recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs to lead McDaniel to a 3-0 win over Ursinus in Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball action on Saturday.
Taylor Herrgott (Derwood, Md./Magruder) added a team-high 15 kills and five blocks for the Green Terror (10-4, 5-0 CC), who won its seventh straight match, 30-17, 30-22, 34-32.
Mary Kate Wilmoth and Jill Alspach led the Bears (5-12, 1-5 CC) with 17 and 15 kills, respectively. Gabrielle Galleo tallied a match-high 13 digs.
Alice Hardwick (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) paced the McDaniel defense with 12 digs while Jenna Filipone (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) added 10.
Kristen Nuckles (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond-Suffolk) added 33 assists and two of the Green Terror’s five aces.
McDaniel returns to action at Dickinson on Wednesday. Match time is 7 p.m.
