Gregg tabbed All-Centennial Conference women’s basketball honorable mention
LANCASTER, Pa. – Robbin Gregg (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett), a senior on the McDaniel women’s basketball team, has been named to the 2008 All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Thursday. The guard was tabbed an honorable mention, earning a spot on the team for the first time in her career.
Gregg led the team in scoring (11.8 ppg) and assists (103). Her assist total made her the third player in program history to dish out 100 helpers in a season and the first since Toby McIntire set a record in during her junior (2002-03) and senior (2003-04) seasons.
She also added 38 steals, 62 rebounds and six blocked shots. She shot 45.1 percent from the floor, including 32.1 percent from behind the arc, hitting a team-high 125 field goals and ranking second with 18 treys. She also hit 70.9 percent from the free-throw line.
For her career, she finished with 230 assists to rank 11th on the all-time list.
The Green Terror finished the season 13-13 overall and 11-7 in CC play, qualifying for the conference tournament for the seventh straight season. McDaniel fell to Gettysburg 79-71 in the first round on Wednesday night.
