McDaniel finishes third at Kutztown Invitational
FLEETWOOD, Pa. – Val Saucier (Cockeysville, Md./Dulaney) posted a two-round total of 181 to lead McDaniel to a third-place finish at the Kutztown Invitational in women’s golf action on Friday and Saturday. The Green Terror followed up a first round 367 with a 370 on Saturday for a 737 to place third. St. Francis (Pa.) won the tournament with a 651, posting a 320 on Friday and 331 on Saturday. Kutztown was second with a 683 (330-353).
Saucier finished Friday with a round of 90 before posting a 91 in the second round to finish 14th overall.
Nicole Christy (Towson, Md.) posted an 89 on Friday before carding a 94 on Saturday for a two-day total of 183.
Elyse Massa (Wescosville, Pa./Emmaus) registered a two-day total of 185, carding an 88 on Friday and a 97 on Saturday. Jennie Weiner (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville) and Amy Glock (Lineboro, Md./Hereford) rounded out the McDaniel competitors with scores of 188 (100-88) and 216 (104-112), respectively.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Gettysburg Invitational on Tuesday.
