McDaniel wins Gettysburg Invitational
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Nicole Christy (Towson, Md.) and Elyse Massa (Wescosville, Pa./Emmaus) each shot rounds of 92 to lead McDaniel to a first-place finish at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational on Tuesday.
The Green Terror combined to post a total of 374, winning by 11 strokes over the host Bullets.
In addition to the pair of fourth-place 92s, Val Saucier (Cockeysville, Md./Dulaney) and Jennie Weiner (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville) finished tied for seventh place, carding rounds of 95.
Amy Glock (Lineboro, Md./Hereford) rounded out the McDaniel competitors with a round of 112.
Tara Fredericks (Fairfield, Pa./Fairfield) and Colleen McLaughlin (Cambridge, Mass./Cambridge Ridge and Latin) competed as individuals, posting rounds of 123 and 136, respectively.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Centennial Conference Championships at the Lehigh Country Club on Saturday and Sunday.
