Frostburg blanks McDaniel
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Amanda Drake scored in the 28th minute, starting a three-goal barrage and leading Frostburg to a 4-0 victory over McDaniel in non-conference women’s soccer action on Saturday.
Leanne Hollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made 10 saves in goal for the Green Terorr (0-4), who were outshot 23-5 on the day.
The Bobcats (2-2) got goals from four different players.
After Drake struck unassisted at the 27:49 mark, Stephanie Parker made it a 2-0 game at halftime with a second unassisted tally at the 32:29 mark.
Kierstin Stevenson wasted no time in the second half, converting a Christine Fiterald feed just 34 seconds after the break.
Anita Wickerham added another unassisted marker in the 81st minute.
McDaniel returns to action at Elizabethtown on Wednesday. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
