McDaniel limits Johns Hopkins in 1-0 defeat
BALTIMORE, Md. – Johns Hopkins took 30 shots but a lone Kim Lane goal in proved the difference in the Blue Jays’ 1-0 Centennial Conference (CC) women’s soccer win over McDaniel on Tuesday.
Leanne Hollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) stopped 15 shots for the Green Terror (3-14, 2-7 CC), who were limited to just two shots on the offensive end.
Controlling play for the majority of the game, Johns Hopkins (12-4-1, 8-1 CC) secured the top seed in the upcoming CC playoffs, which will be held at Homewood Field next weekend.
At the 55:51 mark, Allie Zazzali dropped a pass in to Lane, who bent the ball in behind Hollinger from the near side.
