The safety of our students and staff remains our number one priority. Please use extreme caution when moving about the campus as crews continue to work to clear and treat walkways and entrances. Be aware of the following:

  • Stay on clear walkways and avoid external stairwells.
  • Adhere to the signs posted as some sidewalks and stairwells remain closed.
  • All buildings are accessible at this time, although you may not be able to use your normal path.
  • As you enter and exit buildings, be cautious of wet, slippery floors and be mindful of snow coming off of roofs and overhangs.
  • For those with vehicles on campus, please make sure that you are parked in a clear parking space so that crews are able to continue to remove snow from lots. If your car is snowed in, you can borrow a shovel from Campus Safety by leaving your McDaniel ID.

The snow removal plan is in effect and the Grounds crew is currently working on clearing the GREEN pathways. The RED pathways should already be cleared. Contact the Department of Campus Safety at 410-857-2202 if any special assistance is needed.

Classes will run as scheduled tomorrow. Students who are facing travel challenges due to storm-related circumstances should contact their faculty members directly.

Please continue to check your McDaniel email for information, as well as the McDaniel website, which will be updated with the official status of the College. Thank you for your continued patience.
