Commission of Higher Education
McDaniel College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, Pa. The Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation. In July 2003, the accreditation of McDaniel College was reaffirmed through 2013.

American Chemical Society
Our Chemistry Department offers a Chemistry curriculum that is approved by the American Chemical Society (ACS). Qualified students receive an ACS approved major. The specific approving body is the Committee on Professional Training (CPT) of the ACS. Accreditation occurs in five-year intervals, the next occurring in 2014, with yearly reporting by the department and review of those reports by the CPT.

Council on Social Work Education
The Social Work Department is nationally accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of this program can move directly into social work positions, are eligible for state licensure at the baccalaureate level, and qualify for advance standing at most graduate schools of Social Work. The Social Work program is evaluated every 8 years, the next occurring in 2019.

National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education
The Education Department at McDaniel College is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), 2010 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036; phone (202) 466-7496. This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator preparation programs. NCATE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit programs for the preparation of teachers and other professional school personnel. McDaniel College received accreditation by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) Oct. 26, 2004 and was reaffirmed through 2016.
