Build your story at McDaniel
Jessica Watson was born the oldest of four children and raised in Washington D.C., where she always possessed a knack for merging business sense with natural creative talent. During her sophomore year at McDaniel, she turned her dorm room into an art gallery to sell her paintings. “My room had the pull out beds which easily resembled couches with a couple of pillows. I filled the walls with art and you actually had to make an appointment to come in and tour the gallery.”
Students and teachers alike bought Watson’s art. She graduated in 2005 as a Communication major with minors in Business Administration and Studio Art and founded the design firm, JWatson Creative, specializing in innovative solutions for companies to develop and enhance their branding, visual identity, social media efforts, websites and more.
She’s also a manager for B’More Creatives, a networking and support group for women in the creative profession. In 2011, she was recognized with the Spirited Woman Rising Award by MyCity4Her.com and the Red Cross of Central Maryland.
When Jessica is not saving the world one design at a time, she is volunteering to support local causes, making memories with friends, or finding her way to the nearest trail.
