Get Back to the Hill 2008

Old friends and classmates will re-unite at the 2008 Class Reunion Weekend May 2-4. All graduates are welcome to attend, but this marks a milestone reuinion for classes ending in a 3 or 8.

Highlights of the weekend include the annual alumni picnic at 12:30 p.m. May 3 in Memorial Plaza, featuring wine and beer tasting. It’s followed by the May Day/Spring Fling Flashback 1-4 p.m. in the quad, with food, games and music for alumni and their children.

Winners of the Reunion awards will be presented 2-3 p.m. May 3 in McDaniel Lounge, after the State of the College Address by President Joan Develin Coley.

Students will be honored and the senior class president will be invested in academic regalia during the annual Senior Investiture and Honors Convocation at 2 p.m. May 4 in (Big) Baker Chapel. Outstanding alumni such as Dr. M. James Kaufman ’91, director of Governmental Affairs at Johns Hopkins Institutions; Dr. Barbara Payne Shelton ’70, former professor and program coordinator for Early Child Leadership at Villa Julie College, will be recognized during the ceremony. Faculty awards to be presented include the Ira G. Zepp Teaching Enhancement Grant and the Ira G. Zepp Distinguished Teaching Award.
