- “Of These Hollers I Sing” at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 in McDaniel Lounge, a musical, multi-media and lecture performance by McDaniel College artist-in-residence Walt Michael based on his experiences as a student volunteer in Appalachia in the 1960s.

- Chakaia Booker, visiting artist lecture, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 WMC Alumni Hall Mainstage.

- Panel discussion of four 2010 Nobel Prizes – Peace, Chemistry, Literature, Physics – sponsored by the McDaniel College Phi Beta Kappa chapter, 6 p.m. Nov. 10, McDaniel Lounge.

- Chamber Music on the Hill presents “Holiday Brass” with the Lyric Brass Quintet 3 p.m. Nov. 14 in Baker Memorial Chapel. Tickets: $15 for adults; $10 for seniors and veterans; children and students with valid ID admitted free.

- Student Jazz Guitar Ensemble 7 p.m. Nov. 15 in Baker Chapel.

- North Africa Conference “The Dynamics of Terror Networks in North Africa,” featuring panel discussions and a keynote address by noted national and international experts.  8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov 16 in The Forum in Decker College Center.

- progress: A Mixed Media Installation by Chanan Delivuk ’08 is on display Nov. 16 – Dec. 17 on campus in the Esther Prangley Rice Gallery in Peterson Hall. An opening reception will be held 7-9 p.m. Nov. 16. For information and gallery hours, call 410-857-2595 or click here.
