McDaniel and K-12 students join talents in Tournament of Champions

About 100 McDaniel College student volunteers teamed up with 66 K-12 students for the 23rd annual Tournament of Champions Mar 29.

The event is designed for K-12 students with orthopedic, visual and behavioral needs who participate in regular education classes. The students are from Carroll, Frederick, Montgomery, Howard, and Baltimore counties, as well as Baltimore City.

Tournament of Champions allows these young athletes to challenge themselves individually and achieve their best scores in 18 different events, including running, walking, wheelchair dashes; batting and throwing for distance; basketball shooting; football throwing; Frisbee tossing; and parachute activities. All events are modified to meet the individual needs of the participants.
