McDaniel College recognizes 545 years of staff service

McDaniel College recognized 32 employees Jan. 17 for their many years of dedicated service during the annual seniority recognition luncheon held in the College’s Decker Center Forum.

The distinguished group of employees, each with at least 10 years of service, represents 545 years of working on the Hill. President Roger Casey hosted the service awards program. Each of the honorees was presented with an engraved gift featuring their name, department, and respective years of service.

Three members of the Athletics Department were especially honored: Kim Easterday for 35 years, and Becky Martin and Dave Seibert for 30 years. Athletic Director Paul Moyer praised them for their competitive and caring values that they have conveyed to scores of student-athletes.

“They have made McDaniel athletics renowned beyond the campus and are respected throughout the Division III non-scholarship Conference,” he said.

All three coaches have obtained winning records and offer courses popular among current students.

“It’s a tradition here to start the new year off by celebrating the dedicated and continued commitment of our staff, ” said Casey. “Here are the faces we see every day, and we are fortunate to have them with us.”
