McDaniel continues to rank as a top liberal arts college
McDaniel College continues to rank in the top tier of the nation’s liberal arts colleges in the U.S. News & World Report “2017 Best Colleges” rankings released Sept. 13.
McDaniel stands among the nation’s liberal arts colleges emphasizing undergraduate education and awarding at least half of their degrees in the arts and sciences.
Key measures in determining the U.S. News rankings include McDaniel’s small class sizes averaging 15 students, admission selectivity and higher-than-expected graduation rate.
In addition to U.S. News, McDaniel recently ranked among the top 30 liberal arts college in the nation, according to Washington Monthly, and at the top of the “Best Bang for the Buck” list for the fourth consecutive year. MONEY magazine also recognized McDaniel among the top 100 “Best Colleges” and as one of “The 50 Best Liberal Arts Colleges,” as well as one of “The 50 Most Affordable Private Colleges.” McDaniel has also been named a “Best in the Northeast” by The Princeton Review for the fourth consecutive year.
