McDaniel hosts families, Founders and friends

September 28, 2010

The College community gathered on the Hill this weekend to cheer on the Green Terror at Friday night’s pep rally, to share vicariously in alumna Wendy Ruderman’s Pulitzer-winning investigation, to tailgate around the Bair Stadium bowl while rooting for the Green and Gold – to enjoy a distinctly McDaniel weekend.

During the debut of McDaniel’s SmartTALK series, alumna Wendy Ruderman took the College’s Founders, students’ families and friends on a tour of the seamier side of Philadelphia – dangerous streets and alleys swarming with drug addicts, dealers, and occasionally dirty cops – the very neighborhoods she roamed investigating her Pulitzer Prize-winning series, “Tainted Justice.”

Watch an excerpt (below) of Wendy Ruderman’s conversation with McDaniel president Roger Casey. Or click here to watch the full 52-minute conversation.

From pep rally to SmartTALK to talent show to Sunday good-byes, relive Families Weekend in photos.
