McDaniel College remains among the top liberal arts colleges in the nation in the U.S. News & World Report “2018 Best Colleges” rankings released Sept. 12.

McDaniel continues to rank among the first tier of national liberal arts colleges emphasizing undergraduate education and awarding at least half of their degrees in the arts and sciences.

Key measures in determining the U.S. News rankings include McDaniel’s small class sizes averaging 15 students, admission selectivity and higher-than-expected graduation rate.

In addition, McDaniel has been named among “A+ Schools for B Students,” highlighting colleges that “truly seek a broad and engaged student body,” according to U.S. News.

McDaniel is also among the top 30 liberal arts college in the nation, according to Washington Monthly, and at the top of the magazine’s “Best Bang for the Buck” list for the fifth consecutive year. As Maryland’s top independent liberal arts college in MONEY magazine’s 2017 “Best Colleges for Your Money” list, McDaniel is one of the best colleges in the nation for educational quality, affordability and alumni success for the third consecutive year.
