McDaniel ranks among the best national liberal arts colleges
McDaniel College remains among the top liberal arts colleges in the nation in the U.S. News & World Report "Best Colleges 2016" rankings released September 9.
McDaniel continues to rank among the first tier of national liberal arts colleges, which emphasize undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the arts and sciences.
Key measures in determining the U.S. News rankings include McDaniel’s average freshman retention rate of 82 percent in addition to small class sizes averaging fewer than 17 students and no classes of 50 or more students, as well as admission selectivity.
In addition, McDaniel has again been named an “A+ School for B Students,” highlighting colleges that “truly seek a broad and engaged student body,” according to U.S. News.
For the third consecutive year, McDaniel was recognized by Washington Monthly as a "Best Bang for the Buck." MONEY magazine also ranked McDaniel among "The 50 Best Liberal Arts Colleges" and included McDaniel among the top quarter of the nation’s "Best Colleges." McDaniel was also named a "Best Northeastern College" by The Princeton Review and a "Best Value" by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
