McDaniel ready for Ravens

June 27, 2008

The Baltimore Ravens’ 13th training camp at McDaniel College opens July 22 with two practices at 8:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for rookies, quarterbacks and some veterans. All veterans arrive on July 23 with the first full squad practices at 8:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. July 25.

“It’s a new beginning,” said Ravens President Dick Cass at a College-hosted breakfast reception held June 5 for area business leaders. According to Cass, new head coach John Harbaugh’s style is all about teamwork.

New locker room arrangements, emphasis on weight training, and intensity of practice are only part of the formula that will give fans plenty to watch—and hope for as the team shapes up for another season.

A freshly landscaped practice field awaits Baltimore’s NFL team when they land on the Hill for 43 practices over their 26-day camp. All sessions are open to the public, except July 24 and 29 and August 6 and 15.
