    McDaniel College announces spring 2025 dean's list

    McDaniel College announces its spring 2025 dean's list, recognizing full-time undergraduate students for outstanding academic achievement. Highest honors are earned for a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher, high honors for a grade point average of 3.70-3.89, and honors for a 3.50-3.69 grade point average.

    Top Maryland teacher candidate continues career in Carroll County; Teachers of Promise recognized

    Abigail Walker, who graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors in History and a minor in Secondary Education, was named a Distinguished Teacher Candidate by the Maryland Association of Teacher Educators and plans to continue to teach for Carroll County Public Schools. Additionally, seven Education graduates were named Teachers of Promise by the Maryland State Department of Education.

    Students investigate history firsthand at Union Mills Homestead

    In an experiential course called Hands-On History, McDaniel students conducted research at Union Mills Homestead in Westminster, Maryland, for the spring 2025 semester. The historical site and its archives offer a unique chance to study artifacts in person and learn about public history.
