Parents of first-year students check out college life at McDaniel
Nearly 200 parents and guardians of the Class of 2018 sampled all things McDaniel during their own orientation a month before their children will arrive on campus.
Traveling from across the country, parents spent a full two days getting to know administrators, professors and staff as well as asking questions of the student preview guides who led them through the experience – similar to the Peer Mentors who will guide the new students in August.
After experiencing the dorms and dining hall and learning about academics, residence life, student engagement and career services, the parents received a three-ring binder of information and contacts for future reference.
