Pumpkin-carving highlights Octoberfest activities

McDaniel students took a hands-on approach for the Jack-o-Lantern contest on Memorial Plaza for the Octoberfest celebration sponsored by Student Affairs and Sodexo, the college’s food service. In all, students carved more than 30 pumpkins, which were later used to help decorate a local assisted living community. The winning pumpkin, named “Green Terror,” was kept a bit closer to home and now sits on the porch at Harrison House.
