Reunion 2012 draws alumni from 19 states back to the Hill

More than 475 alumni and guests – including class of 1937 alumna Dorothy Hull Brown, noting her 75th class reunion just shy of her 97th birthday – from 19 states returned to the Hill April 27-29 to celebrate class anniversaries, attend classes with current students, tour new campus facilities and learn firsthand about College initiatives from President Roger Casey.

Alumni from the Class of 1962 were the VIP guests of the College, and 103 guests – including 60 classmates from 14 states – returned for weekend activities, such as the traditional luncheon in McDaniel Lounge. The All-Alumni Picnic, featuring lie music and beer and wine tasting hosted 175 attendees, and an organ recital on the newly restored pipe organ in Baker Memorial Chapel featured Esther Upperco Gay ’60, Mark Gorman ’04, Joan Humphreys MacDonald ’66, Jen Newgent ’07, Mildred (Millie) Dickey Thomas ’62 and Margaret Whitfield ’58.
