Andrew Merlo, a sophomore from Rehoboth, Del., has been named men's basketball Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 7-13. For the season, Merlo is second on the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game and leads the squad with 40 assists.
McDaniel won nine of the 10 contested events to defeat Elizabethtown 113-74 in non-conference men's swimming action on Saturday. Brad Brooks, a first-year student from Newark, Del., won three individual events to lead the Green Terror (2-5) while Stevie Hoyt, a sophomore from Glastonbury, Conn., and Bryan Nuckles, a senior from Suffolk, Va., also won three times.
