Men’s basketball
Miguel Jones (Baltimore, Md./North County), a junior on the McDaniel men’s basketball team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 25.

Dickinson scored a 68-58 victory over McDaniel Jan. 26 in Centennial Conference (CC) men’s basketball action. Josh McKay (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech) recorded 17 points to pace the Green Terror (12-5, 7-3 CC), who dropped its second straight game to fall into third place in the CC standings after both Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg won. The Green Terror returns to action at 8 p.m. Jan. 28 at home against Gettysburg

F&M snapped McDaniel’s eight-game winning streak Jan. 24 with a 71-65 victory in Centennial Conference (CC) men’s basketball action. Miguel Jones (Baltimore, Md./North County) notched his second straight 20-point game with 21 points to pace the Green Terror (12-4, 7-2 CC), falling for the first time since a 68-62 loss to Guilford on Dec. 17.

Women’s basketball
Ali Moreland (Davidsonville, Md./South River) and Meg Biggart (Darien, Conn./Darien) each netted seven points Jan. 24 to pace McDaniel in a 60-45 victory over Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) women’s basketball action. Moreland added six rebounds, six steals and five assists for the Green Terror (10-6, 8-3 CC). The team returns to action at home at 6 p.m. Jan. 28.

Indoor track
Kevin Bowman (Frederick, Md./Brunswick) recorded a pair of top-10 finishes Jan. 17 to lead McDaniel at the Orange and Maroon Classic hosted by Susquehanna in men’s and women’s indoor track and field action.
On the women’s side, Kristin Duling (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) finished seventh in both the 200 (28.24) and 400 (1:05.38) while Emily Peoples (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) crossed sixth in the 5,000 in a time of 19:22.33. Peoples was also 18th in the 800 (2:43.63)

Three swimmers recorded four-win days Jan. 24 to lead McDaniel to a 70-52 victory over Susquehanna in men’s swimming action. In the 14-event meet, the Green Terror (2-4) won 10 events while the Crusaders (6-4) touched first in four. On the women’s side, Susquehanna (4-7) defeated McDaniel (0-6) 71-51, winning nine events. Green Terror swimmers return to action at 6 p.m. Jan. 30 at F&M.

Brock Glotfelty (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett) recorded two victories Jan. 24 but McDaniel dropped a pair of Centennial Conference (CC) wrestling matches at a quad match hosted by Stevens. The Green Terror (7-11, 2-2 CC) dropped its first match of the day to 13th-ranked Merchant Marine (10-6, 3-0 CC) by a 36-6 margin before falling to the host Ducks (8-7, 2-1 CC), 27-20. McDaniel returns to action at a tri-match beginning at noon Feb. 7 hosted by Messiah.
